Below you will find the most Frequently Asked Questions we get. However, this list is not exhaustive and so, thanks to communication from users like you, we are able to grow the list of questions. Our aim is to help our users to complete their registration easily. If you cannot find the answer or solution you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us at +354 585 4200 or at conferences@icelandtravel.is.
Answer: If your payment was successful but you made more than one attempt, the system will hold back confirmation until we have looked it over. If everything is correct we will manually send a confirmation to you, which you should get within 24 hours (Mon-Fri). This is due to system security settings. However, if the payment was not successful we will notify you via email, including a direct link so you can finish your registration.
Answer: Yes, but you will need to complete the process with the dates that are available and then contact us directly and ask to extend your booking. It is important to take into account that availability can diminish as the conference approaches, so please contact us as early as possible if you wish to extend your stay.
Answer: For certain conferences we offer a feature which allows you to book several people and pay with one invoice. However, each booking still has to have its individual registration, especially in regards to hotel bookings. If this feature is not available for the conference you are attending we recommend to simply contact us at conferences@icelandtravel.is and we will assist you.
Answer: There can be several reasons for this. One of which could be an outdated browser or some sort of conflict with the version you have. Usually we find Chrome and Firefox work the best, as Internet Explorer or Safari, for example, often cause more trouble due to their architecture. Make sure all the fields are correctly filled in (the ones with an asterix * are mandatory) and that the page hasn’t been inactive for too long (webpages time out after a while). Lastly, this could simply be an error in the registration form code, in which case please contact us via conferences@icelandtravel.is and describe the issue. We’ll fix it as soon as possible.
Answer: If the card has reached its limit the payment will not go through, but assuming you are certain it has not, sometimes your card issuer or bank will impose added security when paying on smaller platforms (big ones being Amazon, airline websites and any other major online retail sales platform) and so you will need to let them know so they can permit the payment to go through. We accept all major credit cards and so that should not be an issue. If you are using a prepaid credit card be certain that the card has sufficient funds, as mentioned above, and that your bank or card issuer allows the charge to go through. Lastly, if you are trying to pay with a credit card issued in Iceland and the registration fee is in Euros, please contact us and we will adjust the payment to your Icelandic card.
Answer: You might need to hold Ctrl key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out. Or alternatively use Zoom function in your browser to select the vieiwing percentage.
Answer: Most of the links are set to “popup” and if you have a “popup” blocker on your browser you will have to click on the warning message that should appear next to the URL window, and allow popup’s for the page.
Answer: It is possible that there are no rooms left for the conference, especially if the event is only a few days away. However, it can also be that there aren’t any rooms for those specific dates, in which case you could try booking fewer or different days and then contact us so we can help you find accommodation for the dates you are missing.
Answer:After registering you will receive a direct link to your personal registration. Through this link you can make most changes you want and if there is a price difference in our favour, you can simply follow through to the payment/credit card tab and pay the difference. However, if the change is in your favour, and you are within the time frame of our cancellation terms, simply make the change and contact us at conferences@icelandtravel.is so we can refund you the difference. Please note the date of when you send us your cancellation request is what is valid. Make sure you review the cancellation policy beforehand.

Answer:If you have already begun a registration process AND gone through to the Summary page at least, the system registers your attempt and all the data there in. When you then try to make a new registration with the same email address the system will block you as there is already an incomplete registration with this email address. If your attempt failed or did not finish for some reason, normally we will send an email informing you of this which includes a direct link to complete the process (saving you the need to input some of the data again). However, if you made your attempt on the weekend or outside of office hours it is possible this email has not been sent yet, so we recommend you simply send us an email at conferences@icelandtravel.is requesting that we send you a link to your registration attempt.
Answer: If you have made two attempts to register (that is, you have entered your data twice and reached the Summary page using the same or different email address) the system will have both of them, one successful and the other incomplete. It will not make the connection specifically nor will we necessarily notice and so a reminder is sent out to the email address of the incomplete registration. Simply reply to this email saying you have already paid and that you made two attempts. We will clean it up.
